ADƆYƐ FOUNDATION

The radiance of giving

We are a small community of people who believe that steady, deliberate acts of care can transform a life, a family, a village. Together we walk alongside those who need it most, with humility and dedication.

Our story

Doing good with purpose, integrity, and care.

The Adɔyɛ Foundation (Fondazione Adɔyɛ LBG) was founded on a simple principle: that thoughtful and consistent action can create meaningful and lasting change. The name “Adɔyɛ,” meaning “goodness” in Akan, reflects the values at the heart of the Foundation and the spirit with which it approaches its work.

Founded by Miss Victoria Adede Mensah, an Italian-Ghanaian entrepreneur, together with her mother, Mrs Janet Rita Essuamah, the Foundation reflects their strong connection to Ghana and a shared desire to contribute meaningfully to its communities.

Adɔyɛ seeks to work alongside people and communities, recognising that meaningful development begins with an understanding of local realities. The Foundation aims to contribute in ways that are practical, responsible, and sustainable, encouraging greater autonomy wherever possible. Integrity, accountability, and long-term sustainability guide the way its projects are selected and carried forward.

While Ghana remains at the heart of its story and activities, the Foundation’s vision is not limited by geography. Where its values and resources can serve a meaningful purpose, Adɔyɛ is open to supporting communities beyond Ghana, with the same commitment to responsible, respectful, and human-centred action.

The greatest joy is not in what we hold in our hands, but in the light we bring into another's life. Giving does not empty us, it fills our soul. Victoria Adede Mensah, The Adɔyɛ Foundation

Nine pillars, one promise

Every project we begin grows from one of these nine interconnected pillars, because real change touches every dimension of a person's life.

Education

Providing access to learning, books, and essential study materials, alongside private tutoring, so that no student is held back by what they lack.

Healthcare

Ensuring essential health services for children and those most in need, with care and respect at the heart of every visit.

Empowerment

Walking beside women and youth as they discover their own strength and voice.

Environment

Caring for the land, the trees, and the water that sustain us all, with a long horizon in mind.

Infrastructure

Helping build the everyday foundations a community deserves, like clean water, sanitation, and safe shared spaces.

Livelihoods

Providing practical support to help individuals build sustainable sources of income, fostering self-reliance, dignity, and lasting economic opportunity.

Food Security

Ensuring access to healthy and reliable nutrition, because no future can be built without the certainty of daily sustenance.

Advocacy & Rights

Protecting the most vulnerable and fostering equality, ensuring that every voice is heard and every human right is fiercely defended.

Resilience

We provide practical support to individuals and communities facing unexpected hardship or difficult circumstances.

Our Initiatives

Where kindness takes shape

From standing beside Ghana's youth to placing a seed in the ground, every initiative is a small, deliberate act of love for the community we are part of.

01
Youth, Empowerment

Youth Championship

Many young Ghanaians walk paths that have not been paved for them, carrying dreams that often feel larger than what the world calls acceptable. We support women and young people with opportunities, skills, and practical resources that can strengthen confidence and independence.

To turn these dreams into reality, we offer concrete, everyday opportunities:

  • Professional mentoring and networking, to guide each journey with the support of experienced voices.
  • Global education and webinars, with free access to more than 5,500 certified online courses.
  • Career support and entrepreneurship, from CV building to business planning and registration.
02
Children, Community

A Christmas of Hope

A Christmas of Hope is our volunteer gathering devoted to bringing a little joy and warmth to children who could use it most. During December we visit a chosen orphanage, share small gifts, prepare warm meals, and simply spend time with the children, reminding them that they are seen, that they are loved, that they are not alone.

03
Global, Nutrition

Global Impact, Beyond Borders

Hunger does not stop at national borders. In Ghana, the Adɔyɛ Foundation donates meals and essential hygiene products directly to children in orphanages and to the most vulnerable families, working hand-in-hand with local communities to ensure nutrition reaches those who would otherwise go without.

Alongside our direct work on the ground, we proudly support global efforts to end hunger. We inspire our community and leadership to actively contribute to international initiatives, such as the United Nations World Food Programme’s ShareTheMeal.

04
Grants, Ambition

Dream Empowerment

Lifting ambition, one dream at a time. Dream Empowerment is a grant initiative dedicated to turning aspirations into something real. More than a fund, it is a small bridge between potential and the first step.

Through a selection guided by merit and need, we stand beside young Ghanaians who are ready to rise, to build, and to lead, with the support of a community that believes in them.

05
Environment, Sustainability

Rooted in the Future

Rooted in the Future is our steadfast pledge to the land that sustains us.

Through tree planting, reforestation, and the restoration of degraded land, we work to leave behind a greener Ghana than the one we received, returning a little of what the earth has so generously given us, one seed at a time.

Our commitment can grow beyond planting alone. We support the protection and care of existing trees and environmental awareness initiatives that encourage a deeper respect for the land and its natural resources.

Because planting a tree is not only an act for today. It is a promise made to tomorrow.

What we plant today, the future will inherit.

06
Healthcare, Children

Kids Health Shield

Every child deserves access to basic healthcare and the opportunity to grow in good health. Kids Health Shield is a small pledge to ensure that no child's path is closed by the lack of basic medical care, comfort, or care.

By supporting NHIS annual registrations and access to essential medical care, we offer a gentle shield around the youngest among us, so that they may grow with the dignity of good health.

Our commitment also reaches children during their time in hospital. Through hospital visits, moments of companionship, smiles, and small gifts, we hope to bring a little joy and warmth to young patients and their families, reminding them that they are surrounded by a community that cares.

Because caring for a child's health also means caring for their hope, happiness, and sense of being loved.

07
Water, Infrastructure

Source of Hope

Source of Hope is our journey toward offering the most essential gift of all, clean and accessible water. Through boreholes and small water systems, we work to improve access to clean and reliable water in underserved communities.

Each source of clean water can transform everyday life, improving health, restoring dignity, strengthening communities, and creating new opportunities for the future.

Because where clean water flows, hope can grow.
